Match AI - Installation
on Desktop and Mobile
Match AI is a progressive web application (PWA). Progressive Web Apps run in the browser but they can also be installed as fullscreen apps on many devices. As an installed application, Match AI appears on operating system launch surfaces, such as the Applications folder on Mac OS X, the Start menu on Windows, and the homescreen on Android and iOS. There are a few simple steps required to install Match AI on your device.
MacOS and Windows
To install Match AI as a fullscreen app on your Mac or PC you need to launch match.color.io in Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox. One of these browsers is required, even on MacOS as it is not currently possible to install web apps from Safari on MacOS.
With Match AI opened in a supported browser, an install button will appear in the address bar. Clicking Install will create a shortcut on your device. You can drag and drop this shortcut anywhere you like to quickly access Match AI in full-screen.
iPhone and iPad
Match AI can be installed and launched as a fullscreen app on pretty much all iPhone and iPad models. See the requirements page for a full list of supported devices.
Important: Open Match with Safari. No other browser allows the installation of PWAs on iOS and iPadOS. When you do so, Match AI will prompt you to install the PWA to your home screen:
Following the steps outlined in the popup will add Match AI to your home screen. The app will now launch in full-screen mode and without a browser. Remove it like any other app.
Android Phones and Tablets
If your device is compatible and you can launch and use Match AI in your browser, you will also be able to install it as a fullscreen app on your Android device. Currently this installation requires either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox Browsers.
